Yaret helps build my country’s fifth Antarctic research station
Building a house is a very common thing for us, but do you think it is common to build a house in Antarctica? In the Ross Sea in the faraway Antarctic, there is a place called Endersberg Island, where a house is being built. This house is my country’s fifth Antarctic scientific research station – Qinling Station.
New Antarctic station gets new clothes
Construction began in November last year. The appearance of the building is now clearly visible, the steel structure of the main building has been basically completed, and the installation of 84 functional modules has also been completed.
The curtain wall panels are being installed now. This installation is like “dressing” the new station. This “clothes” is not only beautiful, but also requires special warmth and durability. The “lining” of this clothing comes from the A2 grade fireproof composite board produced by Jiangsu Yaret Technology Industrial Park Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Yaret”).
Yaret Support
What is so special about this “new clothing”? The outside is a stainless steel plate, and the back is an aluminum composite plate – Yaret A2 grade fireproof composite plate. The middle of this fireproof composite plate is filled with a fire-resistant inorganic new material, which accounts for 90% of the weight of the composite plate. It is bonded with a polymer film to form a solid sandwich composite plate structure. It has the properties of light weight, high strength and excellent thermal insulation. The surface is coated with a high-performance fluorocarbon coating with high self-cleaning properties and weather resistance for 20 years. This product is particularly suitable for use in harsh environments such as polar regions.
In less than 50 days, the Yaret project team worked closely with the construction team and completed the design and supply of A2-grade fireproof composite panels for all curtain wall structure parts with almost zero fault tolerance, fully supporting the construction of my country’s fifth Antarctic scientific research station.
The fifth Antarctic research station
At present, the construction of Qinling Station is being accelerated, and it can be said that it is getting better day by day. It is expected that the construction of Qinling Station will be completed by early February this year. Antarctica, this mysterious and beautiful continent, has always attracted human exploration and imagination. We look forward to the triumphant return of scientists and bring more scientific research results to my country’s Antarctic scientific research.
