Shanghai’s tallest twin towers
The tallest twin towers in Shanghai
Since the height restriction order, the tallest twin towers in Shanghai, Zhangjiang “Gate of Science”, have re-outlined the skyline of Shanghai’s technological power. The twin towers of Zhangjiang Gate of Science are 320 meters high, nearly 60 meters higher than the tallest twin towers of Raffles City in Puxi , and more than 70 meters higher than the landmark twin towers of Global Harbor. The Gate of Science project does not only refer to the landmark twin towers, but also a large complex with a total area of 178,000 square meters and a total construction area of 1.51 million square meters, which is larger than the total development volume of Shanghai Tower + Jinmao Tower + World Financial Center.
Zhangjiang Science City
Zhangjiang Science City is the core functional area of Shanghai’s construction of a globally influential science and technology innovation center. The project is positioned as a sub-center of a science and technology innovation city at the same level as the core area of Silicon Valley and Tsukuba Science City in the United States, covering functions such as office, commerce, hotels, talent apartments, culture, and sports. The tallest twin towers in Shanghai stand here, with flexible lines rising up to gather the driving force for innovation and development. Yaret Group is fortunate to participate in the supply of aluminum curtain wall materials for this project, mainly undertaking the production and processing of 7 plots of land, including trading centers, commercial buildings, and 100-meter-high hotels, banquet halls, commercial podiums and other exterior wall aluminum veneers. The total supply currently exceeds 220,000 square meters.
The facade of the twin towers adopts “water wave texture” as its symbolic theme. Four metal lines that gradually taper upward are implanted on the east and west facades, rising from the ground. The unit glass curtain wall panels are staggered and stacked to achieve a flowing light and shadow effect on the overall facade, demonstrating that the “Gate of Science” is open to global scientific and technological elites.
Yaret’s efficient support
The project has very high requirements for the flatness of the board surface, and nail marks are not allowed. In order to ensure that the quality of the decorative strips meets the owner’s requirements, the decorative strips are bent with more than a dozen knives, which is three times the number of bending knives for ordinary exterior wall decorative panels. A single decorative panel ranges from 1.1㎡ to 2.9㎡, with a total of more than 100,000 pieces supplied.
During the assembly phase after the decorative strips arrive at the construction site, the construction team will first combine the processed decorative strip panels with the keel to form special-shaped decorative strip assemblies, and then use a special tooling platform as a control platform to combine the special-shaped decorative strip assemblies and space unit panel assemblies into special-shaped decorative strip unit panels in the factory. Laser scanning forming and modeling unit comparison are used to ensure the assembly accuracy of the units.
Quality first, excellence
At present, the supply of the project is still in progress. Yaret Group will adhere to the principle of quality first and continuous improvement, and use professional technology and large-scale production capacity to effectively safeguard the quality of the project. We look forward to the overall delivery in 2025, and witness the most dazzling pearl on the golden belt of Pudong’s “Golden Central Ring”.
